I don’t eat a ton of sweets, but dammit when I get a hankerin’, I really need to have it RIGHT THAT SECOND. Then, I have a few bites and realize as delicious as it was, for some reason, I can’t eat more than that. I don’t know what it is. It’s like my mind is playing a sick joke to get my body to take a dare🤷♀️
.
Anyway, I also love watching cooking shows because I realize almost any meal can be made vegan. The possibilities are endless and who needs all that other stuff anyway. It’s just your mind playing tricks right? Here’s a perfect example of making something I would never thought could be veganized if I were a non vegan. An ice cream pie even my bestest insta pal @bitchyveganhomo should be proud of👫
.
Here’s the recipe in all of it’s SIMPLE glory:
Ingredients:
2 pints dairy free vanilla ice cream-I chose @target Archer Farms brand because it’s the fucking bomb
Animal crackers or dairy free graham crackers - I chose @sprouts animal crackers OMG
A few tbsp butter melted
Vegan chocolate candies of your choice- I chose @unreal.snacks peanut butter cups, semi sweet chocolate chunks, and @unreal.snacks chocolate covered peanuts
Whipped coconut cream @reddiwip
Directions:
Set ice cream out to soften. In a processor, throw in about 1-2cups crackers and mix til crumbled. Place in a pie dish with the melted butter and press down into the pie shape. Depending on the size you use, you may need more or less cookies. Chop all the candies into little bites. A vegan candy bar would be delicious too. Put ice cream in a bowl and stir around until creamy, then fold in candies and pour over pie crust. Cover with foil and place in freezer to harden. Top with whipped cream.
*Eat a piece or the whole pie. You choose. It’s tough I know, but your brain will make that decision for you. Just take the dare.
